A New Sound System for Getsemani Church

The Getsemani Church in Galeana, NL, Mexico is enjoying a new sound system, thanks to a generous donation from Gospel singer and friend, Casey Needham, from Waxahachie, Texas. Pastor Reynaldo, wife Lulu and the members of the Getsemani Church and True Path Ministry often work together to serve the Lord in the Galeana area. The church is growing and had been using an older borrowed sound system. The new system is a big improvement in quality, plus is more compact in size. Their worship space is small compared with the number of people who attend services. There is often an overflow crowd.

It is a very busy church. In addition to worship services several times each week, the church supports: the Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club on Thursdays; helps prepare and deliver meals with Nuevo Corazón on Tuesdays; takes food to families in the local hospital; collects and distributes items to people in need; and travels with True Path Ministry to serve the needs of remote villages in the area.

Evangelist Tito Preaches at Casa Cristiano El Alfarero

Evangelist Tito from Peru on May 24th preached a powerful sermon at a special outdoor service in Galeana, NL, Mexico. True Path Ministry along with Pastor Reynaldo’s congregation from the Getsemaní Church hosted the event at Casa Cristiano El Alfarero. It was a joy to see the courtyard area outside the ministry house filled with worshipers. Evangelist Tito has a special gift of healing and leading a spirit-filled service.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13)

Rushing Wind at Kid’s Club

And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they [Jesus’ followers] were sitting (Acts 2:2). On May 25th the children at the Marco 10:14 Kid’s Club in Galeana, NL, Mexico learned about the coming of the Holy Spirit. Teacher Ana read much of the story including Peter’s impassioned speech (Acts 2:14-36). It was a powerful lesson. During craft time the kids made paper pinwheels designed to turn in a breeze to remind them of the wind sound the people heard. It was a fun time of learning about the Lord.

Kid’s Club: A Place to Serve and Share

Sharing, even when we don’t have much, was the subject the Marcos 10:14 club kids discussed on May 4th. The lesson used an example from  1 Kings 17:8-16 where a widow and her son shared what appeared to be their last bit of oil and flour with the prophet Elijah. But, neither the oil or flour ever ran out – they had faith and God provided. For the craft the kids painted on a piece of bread what they wanted to share with others. We are thankful that the Lord is providing folks from the Getsemaní church to help at the club.  The men and women who come want to serve and show the love of Jesus to the many children who are at the weekly club meeting.

If you too want to support the club please go to the True Path Ministry Inc. “support” page for information. If you or your church would like to come help kids, check out our “visit” page on this website.

Saturday with La Esperanza Rancho Kids

La Esperanza is a tiny village on a remote ranch in the desert about two hours driving time southwest of Galeana. Eleven of us loaded into our 1995 True Path Ministry Suburban on Saturday, April 8th to take the love of Jesus to the community. The local Pastor, Daniel, welcomed us warmly and his family even fed all of us.

We started the service with Lulu (Pastor Rey’s wife) playing her guitar and about 25 kids showed up along with 20 adults. After a few songs together Pastor Rey brought all the kids forward and had a fun time teaching them Christian songs. We all sang along too. Evangelist Ramero delivered the message about the Prophet Elijah showing the power of God to followers of Baal (1 Kings 18:20-40). The kids were very much into the story. After the service we emptied many bags of clothes and one bag of shoes. They were virtually all gone within minutes. We also handed a gift bag to each child. There many were smiles and “gracias” from the grateful people.

Afterwards, Pastor Daniel asked us to pray that the resources would become available to put tile on his church building floor. If you are moved to donate to True Path Ministry Inc. and would like the money to go for this project see our “support” page on this website.

(NOTE: We were sad to realize the SD Card on our best camera failed. Below are a few photos taken with our phones).
