A Big Night at Kid’s Club: Christ Changes Our Hearts

El Día Del Niño (the day of the child) is this Sunday in Mexico. It is called “day of the child” but for us at Marcos 10:14 club on Thursday, April 27 it was a day for spreading the love of Jesus. The kids who regularly come to club were asked to invite their friends, and they did. We had over 114 kid’s at the club meeting and 20 or more adults!

One of the games required the kids to hold hands in a circle.

Children and adults alike heard a solid gospel lesson on how God changes our hearts when we put our trust in Him. Many of the adults were from Pastor Reynaldo’s church. They were a big help with the meal, games and prayer.

Teachers Patti and Ana worked hard to make this event special for the children. We had a bounce house, several were dressed in costumes. All the kids received candy and a toy from the treasure box. It was a fun night with smiles and laughter all around.

“It brings us great joy to see the Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club go so smoothly even when Tonyia and I are in the US,” said Stephen. “We are grateful for our Christian adopted family in Galeana.”

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2

Telling Our Ministry Story in Sweetwater, Texas

Tonyia and Stephen Williams were invited to share stories about their ministry at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Sweetwater, Texas on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Tonyia told how, after making many short-term trips, the Lord told us to move to Mexico in a dream. Using PowerPoint slides she showed how we work with kids at the weekly Marcos 10:14 club meetings; how we deliver 40 meals weekly for Nuevo Corazon to the elderly; and how we take the gospel along with clothes, glasses and food to remote villages. There were several questions and one lady expressed her wish to come spend a few days with us. Praise the Lord, it was a great time of sharing how God is at work in Mexico. We are so grateful to Pastors Frankie and Sheila for allowing us to speak at their beautiful church. We love them and the people of this church.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Below is a link to the PDF electronic copy of the True Path Ministry Inc. Newsletter for Spring 2017. It is suitable for printing if you would like to share it with folks who do not get online.

Changes at the weekly Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club is one of the highlights from the last few months. We also continue to support Nuevo Corazón by delivering about 40 meals to the elderly in the area on Tuesdays each week. Plus, on Saturdays we take a team of Christians to remote villages to lead worship, give gifts to children, clothes to adults and reading glasses. We took on several special Church facility improvement projects and we had visitors during spring break. Our Mexico ministry continues to actively serve the Lord by addressing spiritual and physical needs around Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Saturday with La Esperanza Rancho Kids

La Esperanza is a tiny village on a remote ranch in the desert about two hours driving time southwest of Galeana. Eleven of us loaded into our 1995 True Path Ministry Suburban on Saturday, April 8th to take the love of Jesus to the community. The local Pastor, Daniel, welcomed us warmly and his family even fed all of us.

We started the service with Lulu (Pastor Rey’s wife) playing her guitar and about 25 kids showed up along with 20 adults. After a few songs together Pastor Rey brought all the kids forward and had a fun time teaching them Christian songs. We all sang along too. Evangelist Ramero delivered the message about the Prophet Elijah showing the power of God to followers of Baal (1 Kings 18:20-40). The kids were very much into the story. After the service we emptied many bags of clothes and one bag of shoes. They were virtually all gone within minutes. We also handed a gift bag to each child. There many were smiles and “gracias” from the grateful people.

Afterwards, Pastor Daniel asked us to pray that the resources would become available to put tile on his church building floor. If you are moved to donate to True Path Ministry Inc. and would like the money to go for this project see our “support” page on this website.

(NOTE: We were sad to realize the SD Card on our best camera failed. Below are a few photos taken with our phones).

Kid’s Club: “The Triumphal Entry”

At the Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club on April 6th we taught the children about Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem during the Passover Week before His crucifixion, as recorded in all four gospels (Mathew 21:1-11Mark 11:1-11Luke 19:29-40John 12:12-19). The Kids made palm branches from paper by cutting an outline of hands and gluing them together on a pop-sickle stick. One child was dressed to resemble Jesus and the Kid’s waved their palm branches as he “rode a donkey” through the double gates at the ministry house (see video below). It was a very powerful lesson!

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” John 12:13
