Good News for the Next Generation
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” — Romans 8:28 (NLT)
Abdiel, Lluvia, and Antonio from Galeana, Nuevo León, Mexico, have answered God’s call by committing to two years of intensive study in Monterrey. True Path Ministry is honored to support these three students as they attend Instituto Bíblico Berea. TPM prayerfully supports all of them and provides financial assistance for two.
All three students come from our close ministry partner, Centro Cristiano Getsemaní in Galeana. We have been part of their lives for several years, watching them faithfully serve alongside us in Galeana and in the many mountain villages we visit.
Abdiel is the oldest son of Pastors Reynaldo and Lourdes. He is a talented drummer who began playing at a young age and now uses his gift in worship alongside a growing knowledge of Scripture and a heart for serving God. Recently, he preached his first sermon during our visit to the remote village of Refugio.
We first met Lluvia several years ago when she joined her aunt on a trip with us to serve the Lord in a remote village. Originally from Pablillo, a town near Galeana, she has been a faithful follower of Christ for many years. She expresses her deep faith through worship and now also shares God’s Word through thoughtfully prepared sermons.
Antonio is a joy to be around. We recently had the opportunity to see his smiling face as he delivered his first sermon to the people of Canoas.
Pastors Reynaldo and Lourdes of Centro Cristiano Getsemaní both attended Instituto Bíblico Berea in Monterrey several years ago. They testify that the school equipped them well to serve God and to manage the many responsibilities of ministry.
Lourdes shares, “the school provides very good teaching, strong discipline, and helps form the character of each student.”
There are currently 22 young students from all over Mexico attending the college. Monday through Friday they are learning inside the school, then on Saturdays and Sundays each one has a designated church where they serve with a local pastor.
TPM believes it is essential to pass on the Good News of Christ to the next generation.
“But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’ … So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” — Romans 10:14–15, 17 (NLT)
