Women are beloved by God

God gave the opportunity to have a women’s conference in Galeana, NL, on February 25, 2023. Tonyia, with True Path Ministry, and several women from Iglesia Getsemani worked together to put this conference together. It truly was a blessing from God!

Estela Ramirez, from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico preached a powerful word! Women are beloved by God! Every woman that came was sent by God and the word spoken was just for them. The Medina Community Women’s Bible group, from Medina Tx, put together a special gift for each woman and was given to them as they arrived.

A raffle ticket was also handed out at the door and prizes were given at the end of the service. The Holy Spirit was present and it was a beautiful time of worship and preaching!

Thank you Jesus for working in Mexico! My prayer is that many are called to Jesus and saved for His Glory and His Kingdom to expand! Please continue to pray for TPM as our work in Mexico goes forward in Jesus name.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. AMEN!

Pastor Ruben’s Strong Faith at 90

True Path Ministry Inc. has had the privilege of working with some incredible Christians. One of the finest is Pastor Ruben, who turned 90 years old today February 18, 2023. Tonyia, Stephen, Pastor Reynaldo and Lourdes drove out to see Pastor Ruben and took him a coconut cake. He lives with his family in a house on the banks of La Laguna lake, a few miles out of Galeana, NL, Mexico.

Several family members had come in from out of town including his daughter from New Mexico. She spoke good English which helped Tonyia and I talk with Ruben about some parts of his life. In the last few years he has traveled with us many times, but we have not had a chance to learn more about his Christian walk until today.

He was born in 1923 in the village of the tiny palm trees, Palmito. One of the adventures he mentioned was picking cotton in Texas under the Guest Worker (Bracero Program) in the early 1960’s. He was always doing whatever he could to support his 11 kids. At the age of 56, he came to realize that God’s love was calling him into a close relationship and he professed his faith as a Christian. He felt the Lord’s calling to share the love he experienced with others.

He became a pastor willing to spend days riding horseback to reach people in the most distant places of the mountains. Villages tucked away such as Palmito, La Joya, Bueno Vista, to mention a few. In January 2020 a team from TPM and the Iglesia Getsemani Church that included Pastor Ruben traveled to the incredibly remote Bueno Vista village (see https://truepathministry.com/smiles-in-the-mountains-at-bueno-vista/). Pastor Ruben met a family that had come to know Jesus when he was a pastor there. It brought him great joy to know that their faith was still strong thirty years later.

There are many more stories about Pastor Ruben, some are captured in the photos below. But what impresses me is how the fruit of this gentle, caring Christian is so evident in the people around him.

You will recognize them by their fruits. Matthew 7:16

Mateo 7:16 Por sus frutos los conoceréis…

Kid Fun for Jesus in San Ildefonso

February 11, 2023, True Path Ministry along with a team from Iglesia Getsemani traveled high into the mountains of Mexico. The early morning was cold, in the 20s, but soon warmed to the mid-50s. The travel was mountainous and dirty, rain is needed here. Our destination was northwest to a small remote town named San Ildefonso. The drive took us 2 hours to travel 28 miles.

Traveling to these remote villages can be treacherous but it is always an encouragement to our hearts and the people we encounter. The church soon filled with children and their moms. Most of the men were working so we decided to have a kids only program.

Teacher Ana opened with a word of prayer, followed by songs, games and a Bible lesson. The Bible lesson taught the children about being a friend at all times even during adversity – Proverbs 17:17. Once the lesson was complete, we all chipped in and helped the children complete their art project.

We then lined the children up by ages and gender. If the child was under the age of 4, they received a bag full of toys and Christian tract. Each school age child received a backpack full of school supplies, a gift, and a Christian tract. The children were grateful and content.

A pile of donated clothes was scattered at the back of the church and the women did not waste any time grabbing what they wanted. We gave blankets to the pastor’s wife to distribute to the church families. The pastor’s family fed our group before we departed on our long journey home.

The need for spiritual food and physical support is great in Mexico, not only to share the Love of Jesus but to encourage them in their faith. Many of these remote villages never receive visitors and to know that like-minded Christians will come not only blesses them, but in turn we receive a  blessing.

Please be in prayer for this ministry, which God began. We covet your prayers!

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9 NIV)

Leaf Springs, Chairs, Blankets, Clothes and Blessings

Pastor Seldonio, wife Elsa and youngest son Diago were in Galeana, NL, Mexico seeking help with the rearend on his Ford F150. One of leaf springs was broken in two and the differential was being held in place with some bailing wire and a rope. They serve the Lord, ministering to four tiny village churches near Refugio. It is about two hours drive in the highest and roughest mountain area where True Path Ministry has traveled.

Our mechanic, Benjamin (Pastor Rey’s younger brother), determined the only way to fix it was different intact leaf springs. After a full day trying to find a replacement, we discovered a perfect match on a wrecked truck in San Joaquin. San Joaquin is on a main highway, in a desert area, an hour’s drive from Galeana. We decided it was best to buy the leaf springs for both sides.

Pastor Seldonio and family stayed overnight in the TPM ministry house so the repairs could be completed the next day. Pastors Rey and Lulu, of Iglesia Getsemani, were gracious hosts.  Pastor Seldonio was able to join the men’s Bible study, at Iglesia Getsemani, that meets every Tuesday night. It was a rare treat as he is not only a preacher, but a farmer and rancher, that seldom has time to spend a night away from home.

On Wednesday, mechanic Benjamin got the used leaf springs installed. We loaded Pastor Selodonio’s truck with some chairs that had been donated from a Texas church. The chairs are a blessing and will used for church services. We gave Pastor Selodonio some blankets and baby carriers to take back, all valuable treasures for members of his remote congregation.

Ministry in Mexico comes in many forms. Thanks to our supporter’s prayers and financial gifts, TPM is able to show the love of Jesus spiritually and physically in a way that truly blesses others.

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;  if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8 (ESV).

A Day of God’s Joy in La Presita

True Path Ministry and Iglesia Getsemani Church, Galeana, NL, Mexico, joined together to take the joy of Jesus’ love to the remote village of La Presita on Saturday February 4. A Spirit filled time of worship, singing, prayer and preaching was held for all. The children had a special time set aside just for them. They enjoyed songs, prayer, a Bible study and craft based on Psalm 23. After services ended, backpacks filled with school supplies, a gift and Christian tract were handed out to the older kids. The smaller children were given a bag of goodies which included a Christian tract and toys. Clothing was spread out for the families to take what was needed.

There is a special joy in sharing with others. We go to bless others and are blessed ourselves.

Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? James 2:5 (ESV).
