Drawing Jesus Closer: Set Them Apart by Truth

14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify [b] them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:14-17

Juan 17:14-17

[b] Sanctify is from Greek: Set apart for holy service to God.
[b] Santifícalos
es del Griego: Separado para el servicio santo a Dios

Speak the Word with Boldness

And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, Acts 4:29 On August 24th a good group of Kids at the weekly Marcos 10:14 Club meeting learned about speaking boldly when taking about Jesus, even in the face of adversity. The craft was a paper megaphone which is a reminder to them to speak boldly for Christ. The club continues to learn what it means to live out a Christ-centered life. They sang songs, the one on the video specifically is special to us: “Hear I Am to Worship”, they played games, heard from the Bible and had a good snack. It was good fellowship.

Galatians 5:22-23 Fruit of the Spirit: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

There Is Power in Jesus Name

But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” Acts 3:6

The children at the Marcos 10:14 weekly club learned on August 17th how faith in Jesus and the power of his name helped Peter and John heal a lame man.

Week after week the many kids who regularly come to the club meeting are learning how faith in Jesus changes lives – including theirs. Each Thursday at club we host a Christian lesson, have fun games, craft projects and  a hearty snack. There are many good Vacation Bible School events this time of year, but few other programs offer local children similar activities year around.

Working in the name of Jesus, True Path Ministry and its partners in Galeana, Getsemani Church and Nuevo Corazon, is proud to host this worthwhile weekly program for kids.

It is your prayer and financial support that keeps us going! Thank you.

Kid’s Club Rain or Shine?

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

The teaching was about Peter denying Jesus. Jesus told Peter you will deny me. Peter could not believe this because Peter loved Jesus too much. Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” (Matthew 26:34

The kids artwork is a rendition of the rooster which crowed. Jesus forgave Peter and Peter became one of Jesus’ greatest disciples. Even though Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 was rainy and cool — we had club indoors and the kids came.  So rain or shine, we press on to tell others about the love of Jesus!

Sandra was the teacher this week.

The kids used an outline of their hands to form the body of the chicken.
