Tonyia and Stephen Williams have bee called to work as Christian Missionaries in Mexico. This is the ongoing story about our adventures.

Iglesia Getsemani Special Outdoor Service and Baptism

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

The Iglesia Getsemani Church in Galeana, NL, Mexico held its Sunday service June 23rd just above a creek on a ranch outside town. Hymns and Christian songs echoed down the canyon as worshipers lifted up the name of Jesus.

It was a deeply spiritual experience praising our Lord under shade trees on the beautiful day in the mountains. After the songs and preaching we all walked down to the creek and five members of Iglesia Getsemani were baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

In addition to members of the Getsemani church, visitors from Grace Tabernacle in Ennis, Texas were on hand to witness the event and join the service. It was a beautiful day that will be etched in the memories of all who attended.

Sharing Jesus’ Love in Refugio

A group from Grace Tabernacle in Ennis, Texas came to Galeana, NL, Mexico on a short term mission trip to share their love of Jesus. They joined with True Path Ministry and several Christians from the Iglesia Getsemani church in Galeana to travel to Refugio on Saturday, June 23, 2019. It is an extremely remote mountain village.  “It was a long drive but well worth it to see the huge smiles on the kids faces,” said one traveler.

There was a powerful song service for all and evangelist Ramiro preached a riveting Bible-based sermon. There was also a time for the kids when they each completed a craft project and received a gift bag full of candy and small toys. We also gave several bags of clothes.

It was a wonderful day serving the Lord. The pictures below tell the story best.

Honor Your Father…

Honor your father and your mother… Exodus 20:12

Father’s Day is a big deal in Mexico (as was Mother’s day). Dia de Padre will be celebrated tomorrow, June 16th here in Mexico, same day as the US. Our Marcos 10:14 kids club activities this past week (June 13th) helped the 70 or so children focus not only on their heavenly Father but also on their earthly fathers.

The kids especially enjoyed making the “super hero” craft to give to their dads. It was a candy bar in a cape, with a message from the kids, and a Bible verse (we are not sure how many of the candy bars actually made it home).

The Lord has blessed us with a number of faithful volunteers to help manage the every increasing group of children who come each week. We are only able to keep this ministry going because of your financial support and prayers. THANK YOU and May God receive ALL the GLORY!

In Awe of Our Lord

God is so good!! We should never be amazed at His mighty works but we really are in AWE. His desire is for the children to be brought up in His word and that is why He continues to send the children to club week after week.

The kids have been learning about committing their ways to the Lord, trusting in Him. Psalm 37:5; All the Lord spoke to the house Israel came to pass- Joshua 21:45,  Anyone who believe in Jesus has life everlasting-John 6:47-His promises; And Psalm 130:1,2 Out of the depths I have cried to you, O Lord; Lord hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications – the Lord hears our prayers/our cries.

Each lesson has a craft project that goes along with the study. The kids enjoy this time of Bible study, memorizing verses, craft time and playing games. And they are also provided a meal. This week (June 6th) was the three month birthday celebration for April, May and June. And the kids were treated with cupcakes and we took a photo of the children that had birthdays during this time.

It takes a lot of work and preparation to keep club going week after week and we could not do it without our faithful volunteers: Pastor Rey, Lulu, teacher Ana, Edith, Zaira, Maria, Mariaa and many others. THANK YOU ALL! Your work does not go unseen by us or by Jesus! May the Lord bless you! Thank you to all who give and pray, without your love and support, this ministry would not be possible. We love you and God loves you! We are so humbled to a part of what God is doing in Mexico. May the work of the Lord continue in Jesus name!
