Short-term missionaries from the Medina, Texas United Methodist Church joined with True Path Ministry on August 9th for an adventure for Christ in the mountains of Mexico. After a beautiful but rough trip deep into the remote highlands they split into two groups. One group put a sheet-metal roof on a church’s worship area. In another location the second group held a special service and activity time for kids, and a worship service for Moms.

Visiting short-term missionary, Hope Loveless, was on hand August 1st along with thirty children at the weekly Marcos 10:14 Kids Club meeting in Galeana, NL, Mexico. They learned about the “I am” statements Jesus made in the Bible book John. The craft project was a “discovery wheel.” When the two round paper sections were assembled the kids could dial the wheel to see each of the seven “I am” statements Jesus made in John and its location in the Bible.
Teacher Maria also had games, songs and prayers related to the lesson. Other faithful adult supporters helped make the meal, drive the True Path Ministry van and assisted the kids with their craft project. Jesus was at the heart of everything and is the reason for this ministry.
The lesson reminds all of us about the power and different attributes of our Lord as expressed in His seven “I am” statements which are:
John 6:35, I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.
John 8:12, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
John 10:9, I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
John 10:11, I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 11:25, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,
John 14:6, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me
John 15:1, I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
Jesus continues to bless this ministry and we pray He continues to bless you for your love, prayers and financial support!

The weekly Marcos 10:14 Kids Club meeting is always Christ-centered, the kids have fun while learning about Jesus and the Christian faith. True Path Ministry (TPM) and volunteers from the Iglesia Getsemani Church in Galeana, NL, Mexico work together behind the scenes to clean the house and grounds, prepare the teaching area, prepare the food and make sure everything is in place for the kids to get the truth of the gospel. Each time the club kids are together they pray, play games, sing, recite memory verses, learn from that week’s Bible lesson, complete a craft project related to the lesson and enjoy a light meal. It’s a compact and intense 2-3 hour meeting every Thursday.
On July 4, 2019, the kids learned about trusting God without knowing where you are going. The craft was an imitation suitcase, where the kids had to fill in the blanks for the scripture Hebrews 11:8.
July 11 included another great lesson. It taught the children that the Lord is always with us. The Bible lesson was on the story of Jeremiah and how he got thrown in a dungeon but was later brought out of the dungeon safe and sound. Jeremiah, even while being in the dungeon, trusted God because he knew God would help him. “They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you”, says the Lord, “to deliver you” Jeremiah 1:19. To go along with the study, the kids decorated, and put together a well with an attached pale.
And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. Isaiah 32:17, was the memory verse on the July 18th club meeting. The kids learned that God wants us to practice justice, to love mercy and humble ourselves before Him. The craft was an outline of a flip flop shoe. The kids added straws to be the flip flop strap over the toe area and the saying walk humbly with Jesus.
We are just humbled and excited to be a part of what God is doing in Galeana, NL, Mexico – week after week! This ministry continues because of your financial support and prayers. THANK YOU! (Note: Click on a photo below to see it larger.)

(Note: website story has many club fiesta photos.) True Path Ministry Inc. held its Marcos 10:14 Kids Club 4th Anniversary Fiesta on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 in Galeana, NL, Mexico. Over 110 children and numerous adults were on hand to enjoy the fiesta. There were carnival-like games, singing, dramas, a meal, and a gift bag and cupcake for each child. Included in the time was a Bible study on Mark 10:14. The children learned that if they have Jesus in their heart, they are the sons and daughters of the King.
The craft went along with the Bible study and each child decorated a crown. To conclude the Bible study, Teacher Ana asked if there were any kids who wanted to receive Jesus in their hearts for the first time. Seventeen kid’s came forward, prayed the sinners prayer and made a first time commitment to follow Christ in their lives – HALLELUJAH! ALL GLORY TO GOD!
There was a lot of work that went on behind the scenes to make the fiesta a success. Many people from the Iglesia Getsemani Church and visitors from Grace Tabernacle (GT) of Ennis, Texas worked tirelessly to make it a truly memorable and Christ-centered event. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We also want to thank all those who support us with their prayers and financial gifts – we could not do this without you!

Folks from True Path Ministry, visitors on a short-term mission trip from Grace Tabernacle of Ennis, Texas and members of Iglesia Getsemani Church from Galeana, NL, Mexico on June 24, 2019 made their way to Canoas, a small remote mountain village. The group lifted up the Lord in a spirit-filled worship service with fellowship, songs and Bible-based preaching. The group also had supplies for a kid’s time complete with a Bible lesson, craft project and a gift bag for each child. At the end of services we spread out a tarp on the ground and emptied several bags of clothing.
It was a God honoring time of fellowship in Jesus name. The pastor of the tiny church in Canoas was very grateful and encouraged that Christians from Galeana and the USA would come to his village to share Jesus’ love.
