Saturday with La Esperanza Rancho Kids

La Esperanza is a tiny village on a remote ranch in the desert about two hours driving time southwest of Galeana. Eleven of us loaded into our 1995 True Path Ministry Suburban on Saturday, April 8th to take the love of Jesus to the community. The local Pastor, Daniel, welcomed us warmly and his family even fed all of us.

We started the service with Lulu (Pastor Rey’s wife) playing her guitar and about 25 kids showed up along with 20 adults. After a few songs together Pastor Rey brought all the kids forward and had a fun time teaching them Christian songs. We all sang along too. Evangelist Ramero delivered the message about the Prophet Elijah showing the power of God to followers of Baal (1 Kings 18:20-40). The kids were very much into the story. After the service we emptied many bags of clothes and one bag of shoes. They were virtually all gone within minutes. We also handed a gift bag to each child. There many were smiles and “gracias” from the grateful people.

Afterwards, Pastor Daniel asked us to pray that the resources would become available to put tile on his church building floor. If you are moved to donate to True Path Ministry Inc. and would like the money to go for this project see our “support” page on this website.

(NOTE: We were sad to realize the SD Card on our best camera failed. Below are a few photos taken with our phones).
