Kid’s Club: “The Triumphal Entry”
At the Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club on April 6th we taught the children about Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem during the Passover Week before His crucifixion, as recorded in all four gospels (Mathew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:29-40; John 12:12-19). The Kids made palm branches from paper by cutting an outline of hands and gluing them together on a pop-sickle stick. One child was dressed to resemble Jesus and the Kid’s waved their palm branches as he “rode a donkey” through the double gates at the ministry house (see video below). It was a very powerful lesson!
So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” John 12:13
