Galeana: ¿Tiene paz en su vida? Revival, Oct. 22-23

True Path Ministry, Inc. is hosting a “¿Tiene paz en su vida?” (Do you have peace in your life) revival on October 22-23, 2016 at 7 PM on the lot beside “Casa Cristiana El Alfarero” (the ministry house). It is located in the Santa Rita area of Galeana, NL, Mexico.  Evangelist Robert Mesa from Yoakum, Texas will deliver a powerful, spirit-filled, gospel message each evening.  “I have turned down invitations to preach more in the USA because the Lord has clearly told me that Mexico is where He wants me to spread the gospel,” said Mesa.

He is a well known Evangelist who has preached extensively in Mexico and also to Spanish-speaking audiences in the USA. He, accompanied by wife Marina, most recently preached in churches big and small in the Mexican state of Puebla. Each time Jesus was glorified, a clear gospel message was delivered and the Holy Spirit was at work.

For the Galeana revival, music will be provided by Banda El Privilegio Divino, from the mountain village of Purismo, and  Juan Oviedo, from Galeana. Plus the Marcos 10:14 kids will sing and SIGN I have decided to follow Jesus . It will be a great time of worship to King Jesus!

Most local Christian pastors will also be involved. Casa Cristiana El Alfarero is not a church. When people make a first-time confession of faith in Jesus they will need to be discipled by a local church. “We plan to have a poster that shows where churches in the area are located and the pastors present will be recognized,” said Stephen Williams with True Path Ministry, Inc. “The goal of this revival is to bring people to faith in Jesus.”

True Path Ministry, Inc. works with local Christian ministries and pastors in Mexico. It is associated with Independent Assemblies in the USA and Centro Cristiano Victria, IPCCVM SEGOB A.R. 3098-2008, in Mexico.

Please pray for us as we prepare for this major event. If you would like to make a tax-deductable donation visit our “support” page on this website.

Marcos 10:14 Club Update: God is in control

We were not sure, when we first started kids club in July, if Wednesdays would be the best day. Some kids do not get out of school until 5 pm and club starts at 6 pm. However, every week we are in Awe!

The kids keep a journal of their memory Bible verses.

The kids keep a journal of their memory Bible verses.

Week after week we have a consistent 35-40 kids. Recently we began to have young mothers bringing their babies. We believe God is using this ministry to reach beyond just kids. It’s not what we expected at all.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your way my ways,” declares the Lord in Isaiah 55:8. I am so thankful that God is in control and that He is not limited to how I think things should be.

What an amazing opportunity! Our pray is that the Holy Spirit will guide many more to come. That this place will be for all to hear and learn how much Jesus loves them.

The kid’s club teacher, Yessi, always has a simple straightforward gospel message. This week she used the cross in the Christian flag to discuss what Jesus has done for us. “He is not on the cross because he is alive,” she said. She went on to explain what each color in the flag means. The kids made their own Christian flags during craft time. Some were given prizes for accurately recalling the lesson.

It is such a blessing to be with the kids as they learn about Jesus and the Bible. We were also happy to have Pastor Jose and his family from Dieciocho de Marzo. He had been hearing about our program and wanted to see what we were doing.

They are learning how to use sign language to a Christian song.

We want to expand our evangelism. In October 22-23 we will be having a revival at the Casa Cristiana el Alfarero. The kids will wear their Marcos 10:14 T-shirts they will soon have. And, they will sing and SIGN I have decided to follow Jesus in front of the audience. When the kids were asked how many would like to come to revival and perform, they all raised their hands. We are so excited and we will be posting more about the revival soon.

Please include our weekly Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club in your prayers. Also, if you would like to make a donation to True Path Ministry Inc. visit our support page.

Christmas Gifts Needed for Mexico

xmasgift1We need your help. True Path Ministry, Inc. is planning to deliver over 300 Christmas gifts this year to kids in some of the most remote areas of Northern Mexico. These are places where other gift programs do not reach and our presents will likely be the only ones these children will get.

We need folks in the USA to start collecting items for the gifts. We have already purchased the bags for the gifts and once everything is gathered, we will divide the items by gender. We like to include a small toy or two, candy and some usable items such as combs, toothbrushes and hair barrettes. You will find a list of suggestions on our support page.

Tonyia and Stephen will be in the Bandera, Sweetwater and Waxahachie areas of Texas in late November. Please let us know by email if you have items to donate: way@truepathministry.com or see our contact page for others ways to get with us.

During our time here our team has visited many small and economically poor villages such as Las Canoas or Canon De Vacas. These small villages are in remote areas where few visitors ever go. During the Christmas season we will return to many of them, hold a worship service and hand out the gifts to grateful, smiling kids. It’s not just about receiving a material gift. This may be the first time these kids hear the gospel and learn that the most important gift they could ever receive is Jesus Christ.

Please include us in your prayers for our ongoing work here and for this gift project. There are many challenges to gathering items for the gifts, getting them across the border and delivering them to the kids who need a touch from Jesus.

If you prefer to support this effort with a financial donation, that too is welcomed (see our support page). If you say on the donation it is for this Christmas Gift program, it will be used only for this purpose.

For many of these kids it is the only gift they get.

Hungry Hearts at Las Canoas

Our ministry Suburban was loaded down.

The True Path Ministry team for this adventure on Saturday, September 10th was able to bring the gospel, reading glasses, clothes, food to prepare meals, a sandwich for everyone, a toy and candy for the kids. We ministered to both their spiritual and physical needs in Jesus’ name.

After two hours of driving, one hour on a paved road with potholes and one hour on a 4-wheel drive type mountain trail, we arrived at Las Canoas. To say it is remote is an understatement. There are beautiful mountains all around the place and beautiful people who live there. We were warmly received as was Christ whom we represented.

We had a special cargo rack built for our ministry vehicle, a 1995 Suburban, and it was loaded down. The stuff we brought was on top and inside were Christian friends Juan and Sandra, Evangelist Ramiro, Martin, Tonyia and Stephen. Everyone brought what the Lord had called them to bring.

Juan, Martin and a local man set up a generator to power our sound system and Martin cranked up the volume. He began to broadcast the fact we were about to have a Christian worship service. As his voice echoed down the canyon, the people started to make their way to the little wooden church building on the side of the hill.

Martin broadcast when the service was to begin.

Martin broadcast when the service was to begin.

Martin opened with prayer and Juan began to play his acoustic guitar. Soon the pews were full of worshipers clapping and singing. Some read Bible verses, others sang a song and some gave a testimony. Stephen and Tonyia told how the Lord had called them to leave Texas behind and come to Mexico. Evangelist Ramiro brought a powerful Bible-based message. The people were hungry for the Word and many came forward for special prayer.

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24) It was a beautiful time as we saw this verse lived out.

After the service we began to make and hand out sandwiches, a sweet drink and chips. The people eagerly received the meal and sat on the green grass in front of the church building to eat it. Next we brought out some Bibles and reading glasses. All the Bibles we took were given away and we ran out of several strengths of the glasses.

We spread a tarp on the ground and emptied five large trash sacks of clothes. One was for men, one for boys, one for girls and two for women. There were smiles all around as they began to find clothes for their entire families. Your donations going to much needed families.

Juan and Sandra run Nuevo Corazon Galeana and they had received a supply of beans, rice and powdered milk. There was enough that each family present got some food supplies. Tonyia handed out bags to the kids with a toy, candy and a balloon inside.

Many of the people thanked us. One lady whom I expect was a widow stood out. She was especially grateful and eagerly expressed her gratitude. All glory is to Jesus, his love is why we do what we do.

It was as if we floated down the mountain in a Spirit -filled cloud to return home. What a wonderful day of serving the Lord!

Please pray for us as we continue to do the Lord’s work in Mexico. And if you would like to make a financial donation please visit our support page. With your support, we can continue to spread the gospel.

First Non-Emergency ER Visit In Mexico

True Path Ministry Inc. rewired the new church.

True Path Ministry Inc. rewired the new church.

Thursday September 8, about noon, Martin and Steve were working in Getsamani Church. “I was about to go up the ladder to put on one last conduit strap and the wiring would have been complete,” said Steve. “When trying to climb the ladder I managed to step wrong and twisted my right knee. It hurt real bad, in fact the pain was so bad I almost passed out.” Martin and pastor Reynaldo helped him off the ladder and got him home.

Nurse Tonyia immediately put ice on it and gave him some Tylenol. She didn’t see it swelling so she thought he strained it. “I could not put any weight on my knee, walking normally was impossible.” Martin had to preach in Dieciocho that night and he found a friend there who loaned us some crutches.

When Tonyia talked with Martin they decided Steve needed to see a doctor, maybe for an x-ray. Tonyia, Martin and Steve went to the emergency room at the local hospital. The ER is normally very busy, but not this time. It was around 8:30 pm when we arrived at the ER.

It is very different than in the US. There are guards standing at the door. If you are not a patient or an immediate relative, you do not enter the hospital. The guards brought a wheel chair to the car and Martin assisted Steve inside. After parking the car, Tonyia came in as the triage nurses took some basic information about Steve.

“Because I’m a nurse I was interested in how their medical process worked,” said Tonyia. “There were two triage nurses dressed in starch white blouses and pants. They had their white nurse caps on too. I recall the days I also had to wear white and a starched cap. In the US, this tradition stopped after I graduated from LVN school – over twenty years ago.”

“The triage area was a small room attached to the waiting room, the door was left open. In fact Steve was sitting in the wheelchair in the waiting room. There was no privacy. Every question asked was open to the rest of the people in the waiting room. I assume no there is no HIPPA here,” she added.

One of the nurses took Steve’s blood pressure and temperature and asked a few questions about what happened. He was not examined and he was not asked what medications he was taking or his history.

Once the triage process was complete, they handed Steve a small blue square piece of paper and we were told to wait in the waiting room. We thought it was going to be a long wait. A board stands in the waiting room showing square pieces of paper with different colors representing varying emergency situations. His minor emergency blue color meant an expected wait time of four hours. (Actually the color of his paper wasn’t on the board.)

It was maybe two minutes later when they called Steve’s name. Martin, Tonyia and Steve were allowed to enter a room where the doctor was sitting at a desk. He was a somewhat older gentleman and seemed knowledgeable.

Martin explained his role as the translator and told him what happened. The doctor saw no swelling, and he believed it was just strained. The doctor, as the nurses, never examined Steve and never asked for a medical history or to know what meds he was taking.

The doctor finally decided it would be good to get an x-ray. Tonyia was not allowed to follow. It turned out the x-ray technician was gone until Monday.

“They wheeled me down a hall to the nurses station where they had a shot ready,” said Steve. “I told them no way are you going to give me a shot and I told them about my heart attack three years ago. I told them the Lord had brought me here as a missionary and that Jesus was the best physician.”

They did not give me the shot. The doctor smiled broadly and said, “I’m a Christian too.” He told the nurses “no charge.” Within 10-15 minutes Steve and Martin rejoined Tonyia and we were ready to go.

Tonyia was shocked I was back so soon and she asked, “Did you already get an x-ray? What did the doctor say?” No, the x-ray tech was gone. “I had to laugh. In the US you would have multiple x-ray techs. Here I guess there is only one.”

The doctor told Steve to keep his leg elevated and rest it for 2 weeks. He did recommend a small amount of exercise twice daily. He said if he was not better in 2 weeks we were to return and he would order and MRI.

Each day Steve is slowly getting better. We know that when you are working for Jesus, satan will attack. We will not quit proclaiming the love of Jesus! We will literally stand strong for Jesus! We claim totally healing and restoration in Steve’s body in the name of Jesus! We give God all the glory and praise!!

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17)
