Church Building Begins in Purisima

Saturday May 25, 2024 – True Path Ministry (Steve and Tonyia Williams), Will and Debby Loveless from Texas and many members of Centro Cristiana Getsemani Church of Galeana NL traveled to Purisima, a small mountain village. Though it is only about 37 miles one way, it takes almost 2 hours to get there on the challenging mountain roads.

We are blessed and humbled to be used by God in such a mighty way in Mexico. Pastor Rebeca, of Iglesia Dios est Aqui, in Purisima, is dedicated and excited to continue serving Jesus in this community. She has services under the tent that TPM donated, but several months ago a violent  wind came, blew the tent, and tore most of the canvas.

They have managed to piece back together the canvas so they can still have this area to meet, but it leaks and is barely put together. Under this tent is where she has several services each week for the church and children.

So, to be able to announce that construction has begun for a new church building here in Purisima is exciting! Materials are brought in from another town about an hour and ½ away. We are believing God totally for the completion of this church and we are thankful our God provides!

While we were in Purisima, the children had a service. Teacher Ana instructed the children on 1 Peter 3:12: For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

The children sang songs, played games, had Bible study, and completed a craft right before it began to rain. We were grateful for the rain, when we arrived in Purisima it was 102 degrees, very unusual for this mountain town. Once the rain came, the temperatures dropped tremendously.

Rebeca’s family fed us a great meal. We were able to meet the boss of the construction project, Rebeca’s cousin, Juan. He is a Christian and knowledgeable, over ten years’ experience in the construction trade.

We saw where the workers had begun digging the holes for the concrete and had placed the rebar columns. Once a layer of concrete is placed around the perimeter, a layer of cinder blocks is placed then another smooth layer of concrete. The walls will then be the next phase.

Before leaving, we prayed for the church, anointed Rebeca and Juan with oil and asked for God’s protection, guidance, provision, and wisdom as the project moves forward, in Jesus’ name!

Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support! God is good!!

2 Chronicles 6:20 May your eyes be open toward this temple day and night, this place of which you said you would put your Name there. May you hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place.

Progress Continues at San Luis Potosi Church

The church building in San Luis Potosi now has a roof, windows, and doors. Thanks to the favor of the Lord and True Path Ministry supporters. Pastor Faustino Garcia has faithfully proclaimed the gospel weekly for years under a make-shift shelter.

We were able to help the church add a roof some months ago. We are excited to announce that the windows and doors have now been added. They have been praying that God would provide the means to finish the building. They are one step closer to completing God’s house in El Nacimiento, in the state of San Luis Potosin, Mexico.

A concrete floor, stucco covering over the outside walls and permanent wiring are still needed, but the congregation is proud to see the progress the Lord has brought. TPM is grateful that Christ is using us for His Kingdom in this area.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth,” said Jesus (Acts 1:8 NLT).

Get On The Jesus Train

April 25, 2024 the children of the Marcos 10:14 Kids Club came together to celebrate the day of the child. This is a yearly holiday in Mexico observed on April 30.

The kids prayed together before getting on the train. The children and adults were driven through the streets of Galeana as they sang praises to Jesus and waved their flags which said “Jesus my faithful friend.” The side of the train displayed a large banner promoting kids club, letting everyone know they are invited to this weekly time of devotion to Jesus.

Children are important to True Path’s Ministry, but most important to Jesus!

Mark 10:14 says; When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Psalm 126:3 reminds us, Children are a gift from the Lord.

Thank you to all who contribute to this important ministry for Jesus! We couldn’t do it without your prayers and financial faithfulness!

God has a Plan for Today

Saturday, February 17, 2024, Stephen and Tonyia Williams with True Path Ministry, friends: Dana and Phillip Langer and Will and Debby Loveless; Evangelist Rulis, his wife and members of Centro Cristiano Getsemani had planned to go to Refugio, a very remote mountainous village. Well, God had other plans.

We woke up to heavy rain in Galeana and when we arrived to gather the group from the church to leave, we were told that Pastor Selodonio from Refugio had let them know that the road to Refugio was not safe to travel, too much rain. We began to ask Pastor Rey, with Centro Cristiano Getsemani, if there was another village that would be safe to go to. He determined that we could safely go to San Ildefonso. It is a mountain village several hours away, but the road was more rocky and not as treacherous.

Lulu and son Abdiel, with Centro Cristiano Getsemani, sang and played drums for worship. Tonyia with TPM and the Texas group were called forward and introduced. Evangelist Rulis preached a powerful message while teacher Ana took the kids to a different room.

Ana spoke an important message to the kids and several accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Each child put together a special art project which let the children know how much God loves them. The kids were excited to recite their scripture verse and received a special treat.

After services were complete, each child was given a backpack with school supplies, a gift and a Christian tract. Then giant snow flacks began to fall just as we began our return trip to Galeana. The beauty of it just added to an already good time.  At end of the day we realized our trip to San Ildefonso is what God had in mind for us.

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

Celebrating Christ in Refugio

(Note: below the article are many photos.)

Steve and Tonyia with True Path Ministry and 17 members of the Central Cristiano Getsemani church, Galeana, NL, Mexico travelled deep into the mountains to bring the word of the Lord to Refugio on December 22, 2023.

Going to Refugio is always a special time. Pastor Selodonio and his family are faithful servants of Jesus. Once arriving, we were fed a delicious meal. When most of the families arrived, services began. Many walked or rode donkeys long distances to attend the service.

Lulu led the singing which included the group from Iglesia Getsemani singing a beautiful praise song. Steve and I were introduced, and Lulu read Ephesians 2:11-22 and explained How Jesus brought peace between God and all people. He did this by “tearing down walls” that separated us by his death on the cross. Which made it possible for everyone to united by faith in Christ. She went on to say how we are not promised tomorrow and that if they had not received Jesus in their heart, that today was the day.

It was a special day of testimony and prayer. One woman who has cancer mentioned that she was in remission and believed Christ is the reason for her healing. She talked about how it had been difficult be she was holding fast to her faith.

Another testimony, a man said he had been praying for 4-5 years for his wife to know Jesus but she wouldn’t listen to him. But God opened her heart and she was there with him and is now a Christian.

We have been visiting this ranch since 2011 and it is an honor to see the work the Lord is doing in this place. Not just physical but spiritual growth.

After the testimonies, Pastor Rey preached on Luke 15:11-31. Once we were all lost but now we are found and children of the most High King. There are many people who do not know Jesus and do not understand the blessings Christians received knowing Jesus. Some may have left their first love, Jesus, but it is not too late to repent and return to Jesus. Jesus says in Luke 15:17 that there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents. Now matter our circumstance, it is time to receive Jesus or return to Him.

After Pastor Rey completed his sermon, several came forward for prayer. We anointed and prayed for everyone that came forward. One lady will be having a kidney operation and we prayed and believed for her healing.

The children also had a time of prayer, worship, and teaching from the Bible. Their teaching focused on the fact that Jesus was the greatest gift.

Boxes full of gifts for each child were brought down off the top of the van. Each boy received a backpack with school supplies, and a soccer ball and Christian tract. Each girl received a backpack with school supplies, a drink tumbler, fingernail polish and Christian tract. The preschool children received small backpacks with toys and a tract.

Blankets were given to each family, sweaters, handmade dresses for the girls, toboggans, caps for the men and candy.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NLT)
