Pray for Mexico Christmas Gift Tour 2017

Stephen and Tonyia Williams, plus, a special mother daughter team – Jeanette and Lori Lewis – plan to drive from the US into Mexico on Friday, December 29th with a trailer load of gifts. Please pray for the Lord’s favor on that day as we deal with border officials and travel five hours into Mexico.

Thank you, does not even touch how grateful we are to each and every one of you! Many of you donated gifts, time, and money to make this Christmas special for these Mexico children.  We also covet your frequent prayers as we continue to minister in the new year.

Because of your support each child will receive a gift bag with several toys, candy, and a Spanish Christian tract. Watch our webpage next week, http://truepathministry.com/news/ ,to follow our travels into some remote villages of Mexico to share the love of Jesus.

Here listed are the churches and most individuals who donated (not in any specific order):

  • Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, Sweetwater Texas
  • Grace Tabernacle Church, Kemp Texas
  • Damascus Road Fellowship, Ennis Texas
  • Christ Chapel, Bandera Texas

Rare Snow Fall in Galeana, NL, Mexico

Today it is not only cold (23F, -4C), but a dusting of snow covers the ground in Galeana, NL, MX. It is rare to see the white stuff in town, but cold temperatures are normal as it sits in a valley about a mile high. The town is surrounded by towering mountains such as Cerro El Potosí, elevation 12,205 ft (3720 m), which is just Northwest of town. It is not unusual to see it snow-capped in the winter.

Stephen and Tonyia are in Texas right now collecting Christmas gifts for Mexico. But they often communicate with folks in Galeana. “We exchanged messages with Pastor Reynaldo yesterday and they had to call off the Marcos 10:14 Kids Club meeting Thursday night due to the weather,” said Tonyia. We typically have from 30-50 children at the weekly meeting. Many of them walk to club, plus, it is very difficult to get them all in our ministry house.

As we enjoy the comforts of central heat here in Texas, I am reminded that most homes, church buildings and businesses in Galeana have no heat. I pray the Lord keeps the folks in Mexico warm and safe.

This photo was taken by a very good local photographer.

Ana took this photo of her kids enjoying the rare snow (our ministry house is in the background).

Pastor Rey sent us this photo looking at his vehicle out his front door.

Elis who is a police officer in Galeana posted this photo. It would be a bad time to be driving in Galeana.

A New Baño for Berenice

True Path Ministry wanted to make life for Berenice a little easier. Her only bathroom facility was in a courtyard a long distance away from her house and it has no shower or sink. She is a young lady who was called to serve Christ in San Francisco, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. It is a tiny village a few miles north of Galeana where she lives in one room attached to a very old rock and adobe church building.

Berenice’s new bano will be fully equipped when finished.

She is the pastor for a small church in the village and has a special anointing for teaching children. Berenice has traveled with the True Path Ministry Gospel On The Move team a couple of times and used her teaching gift to work with the kids in the remote villages.(see Vibrant Worship in the Desert Village Borrasito and Praising Cristo in Pinones Mexico)

Once finished, the new, fully equipped, Baño will be right beside her back door for easy access. The Bible says “When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13 NLT)

A workman clears the site for the new bano.

Holes were dug for the concrete pillars.

Concrete was mixed on site for the blocks and the pillars.

A local mason helped us with the project.

Delivered 35 Meals to Home-Bound in Galeana, NL, MX

Two-year-old Elias enjoyed delivering meals for Nuevo Corazon today. He is Pastor Reynaldo’s youngest child and he has watched us deliver meals for several weeks, but today he got to give out food too. Once he got started he wanted to go in every place. The folks we were delivering to also enjoy our little helper. Each week True Path Ministry works alongside Nuevo Corazon and volunteers from the Galeana Getsemani Church to prepare, package, pray for and deliver about 35 meals to mostly home-bound elderly. It is a much needed and appreciated ministry, and a great way to show the love of Christ in a very practical way.

Two year old Elias helped deliver meals today.

Sandra dishes up some chicken soup for the meal delivery ministry.

The Christian volunteers always have a good time preparing the meals.

Benadicta lives in a one room adobe house and always looks forward to the meal on Tuesdays.

Vibrant Worship in the Desert Village, Borrasito

True Path Ministry Gospel On The Move team of fourteen Christians traveled down a very long dirt road deep into the desert on November 11th, 2017. The tiny ranch village of Borrasito is very remote, but they have built one of the nicest Christian “Templo Evangelico” we have seen in rural Mexico. However, the church is more than just a pretty building.

The Church building is beautiful. (click on a photo to see it larger)

Many of the village’s adults knew to come to the templo so they could hear from God, and they did. Pastor Reynaldo from Galeana delivered a moving Bible-based and spirit-filled message. During prayer time at the end of the service the alter filled with people crying out to our Lord, as Lulu played the guitar softly in the background. Several of the Christians from Galeana helped to pray for the people at the alter.

Jesus was also glorified as the twenty five kids met in a separate area for their time of worship. Pastor Berenice, from a village just out of Galeana, came along to teach the children. We were blessed to have her join us. She has a God-given talent as a Bible educator to kids of all ages. The little ones listened eagerly as she told the story of Zacchaeus as found in Luke 19:1-10. The kids recited the memory verse several times prior to participating in an art project which related to the story. Before leaving the building, the children all received a gift.

At the end of the adult service the team spread out a tarp and emptied several large boxes of clothes for every gender and age. As is our custom, we also gave out Bibles and many pairs of reading glasses. A special gift box for the pastor and his family which included: kitchen items, beans, coffee, towels and other goodies. Plus, we had a special gift bag for each woman.

The residents of Borrasito have very few visitors who will brave the long, hole filled dirt road to see them. They were extremely grateful that we came. We were too, it is always a privilege to serve our King – Jesus.

Pastor Jacobo and wife Maria welcomed us.

Lulu lead the music.

Several from the congregation sang a special song.

Pastor Reynaldo from the Getsamani Church in Galeana preached a powerful sermon.

Many came to the alter for prayer.

The kids met in another area of the church.

Tonyia and several others from Galeana came along  to help with the service.

Stephen showed some of the boys how to shoot one of the toys.

Reading glasses are always a popular part of our ministry.

We gave out several Bibles.

They were grateful to get clothes

It is a tiny village where many of the homes are made of adobe.

We encounter heavy traffic from a herd of goats coming into town.

It took us about a half hour before reaching the turn onto the dirt road.

Once we left the highway we drove about an hour and a half on a very rough dirt road.

On our return trip we stopped by this lake. It was an odd sight to see in the desert.
