Galeana New Church Building Update

True Path Ministry Inc. (TPM) works closely with the Iglesia Getsemani for ministry in Christ’s name in the Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico area. TPM is helping the church construct its much needed new building. I am proud to report that good progress has been made. The foundation is complete and the walls are up. Patricio, the concrete contractor, is in the process of putting the final concrete cap on the walls and the church has enough money to complete the walls.

However, the next major step is installing the sheet metal roof at a cost of about $4000 USD. They must have the money in hand before they can start the roof project. Members of Iglesia Getsemani are doing all they can to raise money locally. But, keep in mind Galeana is in an economically poor area and we are a long ways from having a completed building.

They are planning a special fund raiser, specifically for the new church, on October 27th to rally support from the entire Christian community in the Nuevo Leon state. Four prominent Mexican Christian bands and an evangelist from Monterrey will headline the event to be held in Galeana. Please include this event in your prayers.

TPM has received some donations earmarked for the new church building, and we are grateful. But we need your help to raise the balance.

Please pray about making a special donation as an investment in the Lord’s Kingdom. Donations can be made online at: http://truepathministry.com/support/

Checks can be mailed to our USA address (we have a trusted administrator who manages our affairs even when we are in Mexico) mail to:

True Path Ministry Inc.

Donations are tax deductible.

True Path Ministry is deeply appreciative of the prayer and financial support we receive. We are humbled to be a tiny part of God’s work here on earth. It is all for Jesus.

Concrete contractor Patricio is beginning to install the final concrete cap on the walls.

Most of the concrete is mixed by hand.

They use five-gallon buckets to get concrete where it is needed.

Arlen Williams (Stephen’s brother) was in Galeana for the last two weeks to help with ministry projects.

Once completed it will be one of the largest church buildings in the area.

The building will be about 2,700 square feet.

Pastor Reynaldo and wife Lourdes (Lulu) lead a growing Christian church.

Every Monday the church has a booth at the street market to raise money for the new building.

Lulu and Rey are at the booth each week along with other church members.

Grow in Grace and Knowledge of Christ

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen 2 Peter 3:18 (ESV)

Antes bien, creced en la gracia y el conocimiento de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo. A él sea gloria ahora y hasta el día de la eternidad. Amén. 2 Pedro 3:18 (RVR1960)

2 Peter 3:18 was the memory verse for the Marcos 10:14 Kids Club group on Thursday, September 13. They learned how the Lord knows our name and that we should grow continually in Him. Teacher Patty also had kids come forward who wanted to affirm their commitment to following Jesus. There was, as always, a prayer time, game time, song time, teaching time and meal time. It was a good meeting for the twenty eight kids who were at club.

The craft emphasized how Christ knows our name.

This game involves the kids recalling earlier lessons.

Adults were on-hand to help the younger kids.

Arlen Williams from Texas was visiting at club and he was with the kids as they discovered caterpillars.

Here is the caterpillars that drew the attention of the kids before club started.

Club Lesson: Jesus is King of Kings

The children in Galeana, NL, Mexico at the Marcos 10:14 Kids Club on Thursday, September 6th learned Jesus’ special place in the universe. “God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…” Philippians 2:9-10. The kids at the weekly meeting enjoyed a time of games, singing, learning, crafts and food – all Christ-centered.

Adult helpers work with the smaller kids during craft time.

The kids learn a Bible verse each week.

Rice pudding was the snack this week.

Stephen Preaches Faith, Hope and Love in Medina, Texas Church

Stephen and Tonyia Williams of True Path Ministry Inc. addressed the hundred persons in the congregation at the Medina Methodist Church Sunday, September 2nd. Stephen preached how faith, hope and love are essential traits for all Christians, but especially missionaries. He used the people and places where they work in their Mexico ministry as examples of each virtue. Stephen’s family has a long history at the church and relatives sat with the couple filling up one entire pew. Several people in the congregation knew Stephen and Arlen’s father and had observed the brothers as they went through life.

TPM Mexico Ministry Update

Marco 10:14 Kid’s Club, Palmito village services and Getsemani Church construction are three important ongoing projects for True Path Ministry (TPM) in Mexico. Committed Christian volunteers, many from Iglesia Getsemani, show their faith by their actions by supporting TPM’s work for Christ.

Volunteers come together, on Thursday nights at the TPM ministry house, for the Marcos 10:14 club. They clean the meeting area, use the Suburban to pickup kids, teach a Bible lesson, have fun playing games and prepare a meal. A recent study was about gratitude. The craft that supported the lesson was a paper tree with leaves. The kids cut out the leaves, wrote something they were grateful for on the leaves and then attached the leaves to the tree.

TPM and Getsemani church continue to travel to the small village of Palmito at least once a month. We are praying for guidance about building a church there. The current building that is being used for services is not an option for a future church. The adults have services inside the building and the children go outside for kids time. The people are excited to meet together and hear God’s word!

The biggest project TPM has going right now, in connection with the Getsemani church, is the construction of a new building for Pastor Rey’s church. It is coming along but funds are needed for the steel beams and tin to complete the roof. This is God’s church and we stand in faith knowing HE will provide!

Thank you all for your love, prayers and financial support. This ministry is active for Jesus because of your love for HIM!

The new church walls are now complete, the sheet metal roof is next once funded (click on a photo to see it larger).

On each leaf the kids wrote something in their lives for which they were grateful.

One fun game involved trying to eat a donut on a string tied to a child’s foot

One earlier art project had the kids make a frame around a photo TPM took of them.

Singing Christian songs is part of each week’s meeting.

We feed the kids and adults that come to club each week.

The kids enjoy meetings under a recently donated tent.

Colored sand was part of another project.

Each stick is a family member.

Once or twice a month the TPM Suburban takes folks to share worship with folks at Palmito, a small mountain village.

Children are an important part of all activities.
