God Honoring Event in Galeana

True Path Ministry Inc. worked with the Getsemani Church in Galeana, NL, Mexico to hold a God honoring fund raising event to benefit the new church building. There were over 200 in attendance and it was a fun, joyful, spirit-filled and festive occasion. Four bands and a prominent local singer praised the Lord with several different genre of music. It was a great night.

God Is Always with Us

We must hold fast to the truth that God loves us and will never leave us. He is our rock. The children at a recent Marcos 10:14 Kids Club meeting learned about Stephen (Esteban) being stoned to death as recorded in Acts 7. They learned that his death was not a loss, but God used it for good. Stephen is a superhero because he never denied Christ. Regardless of our circumstances Jesus is always with us and we should never deny our faith in him. As we live as true Christians, our faith will be challenged, but, like Stephen, we should always look to Jesus during trying times.

The art project had the kids write on a rock positive words from the lesson such as honest, wise, faithful, kind, forgiven… (click on a photo to see it larger)

Christian songs are a part of every meeting

On another week the kids learned about sharing their faith.

True Path Ministry Inc. Summer Newsletter 2018

The True Path Ministry Inc. (TPM) Summer Newsletter 2018 is full of photographs from our activities (to see it follow the link on our website). The Lord has blessed us in many ways and we praise Him. Also, thank you, our supporters, for your prayers and financial contributions.
TPM continues to serve Jesus in Mexico in many ways and it was an active summer of ministry. Our biggest project is constructing a new church building in Galeana, NL, Mexico for Iglesia Getsemani. Work is progressing along and the walls are now in place.  The Marcos 10:14 Kids Club is also doing well. The gospel is being shared with children and adults each Thursday at our ministry house in Galeana. We also visited remote villages during the summer months.

Everyone Is Important to Jesus

Every three months we celebrate the birthdays of the children who were born during the previous three months. For some of these kids it is the only birthday party they will get. Club emphasizes that these children and adults are important to Christ as did The October 4th lesson which talked about the importance of women to Jesus while he was here on earth.

As usual at club, there was a time of prayer, singing, games, a Biblical lesson, craft time and snack. This week’s art project was embellishing a printout of a perfume bottle that included the week’s memory verse. John 12:26 says; “If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.” (“Si alguno me sirve, sígame; y donde yo estuviere, allí también estará mi servidor. Si alguno me sirviere, mi Padre le honrará.”)

Club is always an uplifting time for the kids and adults who are involved – the Lord is glorified. We are able to continue this important ministry because of the contributions from churches and individuals – thank you for giving.

Singing Christian songs is part of the Club meetings.

Craft time at Club is a weekly activity.

Pastor Rey (left) also celebrated a birthday

Happy Birthday “feliz cumpleaños”

Everyone enjoyed the cake and each child got a small gift

Hot Dogs are a special treat in Mexico too.

The large tent we recently added has been a blessing.

One Who Waters Will Himself Be Watered

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered (Proverbs 11:25). Jeanette Lewis, our niece who has traveled to Galeana several times, said she came across this verse. She said “she found the perfect verse to describe how helping in Mexico makes her feel.”

Arlen Williams (Stephen’s brother) has also learned the meaning of this proverb firsthand. He was excited to go back to Mexico for his third trip to help True Path Ministry Inc. (TPM) for a couple of weeks. His work took many forms from yard work, to moving furniture, to carrying cement bags.

One of the central tasks during his visit was to help Pastor Reynaldo and his family move from his small three room “casa” (house) into the much larger TPM ministry house. Pastor Reynaldo and wife Lulu will oversee the ministry house, keep it secure, host visitors and setup for events such as Kid’s Club. It is a two story house and they will occupy the bottom floor and the upper floor will be reserved for TPM.

Arlen was in Galeana to do whatever was needed for the ministry. The courtyard area around the ministry house was overgrown and had to be managed. He also carried cement up to the new church building site and other similar manual tasks. He was also part of encouraging the many friends he had met from previous visits.

TPM encourages folks to come see us. There is always something to do from repairing church buildings to ministering to kids. If you would like more information about visiting us in Mexico check out our “visit” page on the TPM website. The Lord will bless and change you through a short term mission trip – He has Arlen.

Arlen Williams (Stephen’s brother) was in Galeana for the last two weeks to help with ministry projects.

A new swing at the ministry house was a favorite project.

Lots of clean up was needed around the ministry house.

The courtyard area looks much better now.

Arlen was in Mexico for their independence day celebration (September 16th).

The two brothers visited the market that was held in honor of Independence Day.

Washboards are still commonly used in this area of Mexico.

We visited La Laguna Lake a few miles outside Galeana (click on a photo to see it larger).

The mountain in the background is Potosi and it is over 12,000 feet tall.

The scenery in the area is beautiful.

Worship is always part of our week in Mexico.
