Tonyia and Stephen Williams have bee called to work as Christian Missionaries in Mexico. This is the ongoing story about our adventures.

Birthdays and We Are All One in Jesus Christ

On December 6th the Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club in Galeana, NL, Mexico celebrated with the children who had a birthday during the last quarter of the year. We honor kids every three months so that all are recognized through the course of the year. Those at club also learned how we Christians are unified through Jesus. “For you are all one in Christ Jesus,” says Galatians 3:28. It was also the memory verse for the week. The Bible lesson, singing, prayers, art and good food are always a part of the weekly meetings. The many kids who attend are encouraged by the steadfast love of our Lord.

Wait Patiently for the Promises of the Lord

About forty children came to the Marcos 10:14 Kid’s Club tent meeting to hear about the Lord on November 29th. “I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry,” this is from Psalms 40:1. It was the focus of the study and the teachers used hand puppets to make their points. Jesus’ disciples followed His command to wait for the Holy Spirit after his resurrection. The Holy Spirit was a surprise gift for those who were with the disciples. The kids got a surprise gift on this cold night, cup cakes with hot chocolate. Christ was glorified, the kids had fun and learned a little more about the Lord, it was a  good night at club.

There was about 40 kids at the meeting (click on a photo to see it larger)

The teachers used a puppet-show for the Bible lesson

The kids made their own hand-puppet during craft time

Cupcakes and hot chocolate was a special treat

New Redimidos de Crist (Redeemed of Christ) Youth

A recent addition to ministry in Galeana, NL, Mexico is the “Redimidos de Crist” (Redeemed of Christ) youth group.  The Lord moved Daniel and Iris, a young married couple, to establish and work with the the Christian youth group. They were specifically called to youth ministry in a dream Daniel had. They are members of Iglesia Getsemani church in Galeana. True Path Ministry and the church work closely together to serve the Lord in many ways; such as the weekly kids club, taking the gospel to remote villages and to build a new building for worship.

On a recent Saturday the Redimidos de Crist youth group used the True Path Ministry 1995 Suburban to take the gospel to the tiny mountain village Palmito. During the service Evangelist Ramiro preached, plus Pastor Ruben and the Galeana youth participated. In addition, the Galeana youth went door-to-door to pray with folks and to simply share the love of Jesus. The youth group is a welcomed new ministry that was sorely needed in the area. Praise the Lord!

God Promised to Bless Us

At a recent Marcos 10:14 Club meeting we discussed the reality that God promised to bless us. The lesson is part of a series of studies about the promises from God. The kids learned that when we seek God we experience His blessings.  But, we must realize the enemy wants to steal our blessings from God. When we turn our backs on Him we also turn away from His blessings.

The memory verse for this study was; “Blessings I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you” Hebrews 6:14. The craft project and games supported the lesson too. We hold kids club each week thanks in part to the many volunteers who help, the financial donations from folks like you and the prayers of many.

Songs are a part of every club meeting (click on a photo to see it larger).

Many of the kids said their memory verse for the week.

The games are always fun

A door hanger with the memory verse was the craft.

There is always preparation needed before club starts.

Jesus Promises

During the last few weeks the Marcos 10:14 Kids Club studies have focused on Jesus’ promises. On November 8, 2018 we taught the thirty children at the meeting that Christ promised He would pray for us. “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5. Prayer is a vital and powerful tool for Christians. The prayer journal each child was given will help them record what concerns and joys they take to God as they meditate. The kids were attentive to the lesson and related activities. It was a good meeting. The kids also enjoyed Pizza and a popsicle as a special treat.

Part of the lesson was about how we were separated from God until Jesus bridged the gap with His blood at the cross (click on a photo to see it larger)

There is always a time of singing Christian songs.

The kids wrote down a concern they had and pray-fully cast it away.

They enjoyed decorating their new prayer journal.

Tonyia made the Pizza for Kids Club in our Galeana home.

The club tent now has lights, thanks to Daniel’s help.
