Statement of Faith
1. We believe in one God, who exists in three Persons – The Trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is loving, holy and just. (John 1:1-18, Matthew 28:19, John 14:16-17)
2. We believe that Jesus Christ is both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator. (Luke 1:26-38, Hebrews 8:1)
3. We believe that sin has separated us from the Father and only through Jesus Christ, God’s Son, are we reconciled to the Father. As believers in Christ we can boldly and confidently go before the throne of the Living God. (Colossians 1:22, Hebrews 4:16)
4. We believe that salvation is the gift of God to man. It is a gift we receive only by believing in God and trusting Christ’s sacrifice. Jesus paid it all at the cross – we are saved by grace through Christ. (Acts 4:11-13, Hebrews 5:9, 1 John 5:9-12)
5. We believe that by being born of His Spirit we are a new creation. All believers are indwelled by the Holy Spirit of the Living God and therefore have the power of God Almighty working in them. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:8-11)
6. We believe that salvation and sanctification are two totally separate events. With salvation we are born of His Spirit, empowered and saved the instant we believed. Sanctification is a daily process. (1 John 5:9-12, Philippians 3:7-14)
7. We believe that water baptism is an outward act that demonstrates a believer’s identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. (Acts 2:38)
8. We believe that we are conformed to the image of Christ and clothed in Christ’s righteousness from the moment we believe. We are righteous and holy because of His righteousness and not of our own works or deeds. (Titus 3:4-7)
9. We believe that God is alive and still operates with signs and wonders according to His Word. We believe that the Church today has access to all nine gifts of the Spirit as given in 1 Corinthians 12:7. (Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 12:7)
10. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is His God-breathed Word; accurate, inerrant, infallible Ever-Living Word of God. (Psalm 119:160, Matthew 5:18, 2 Timothy 3:15-16)
11. We believe the Holy Spirit guides us in all areas of our lives. He blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:1-13)
12. We believe that Jesus Christ died, He has risen and that He will come again. (Matthew 24:30-31, Acts 1:11)
13. We believe that we are called to preach the Good News of saving grace to all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:14-16)
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
