Joy of Jesus to Mexico Villages Canoas and Refugio

True Path Ministry Inc. sponsored two very successful one day VBS-like events for kids in two extremely remote Mexican villages. Faithful volunteers from the Centro Cristiana Getsemani Church of Galeana, NL, braved the treacherous roads to the villages in the TPM van. Recent flooding added more hazards to the normally challenging mountain paths making them barely passable by vehicle.

Pastor Celodonio hosted the group in the worship area beside his home near Refugio on 22 July. Pastor Alfredo of Canoas was overjoyed to have the group in his small wooden church building on 23 July. In both places the kids and adults welcomed the group to a time of songs, worship, study and clothing giveaway. The kids enjoyed a special Christ-centered time that included, prayer, teaching, a craft project, games and gifts.

It is always a blessing to share the joy of Jesus in these remote villages that seldom see visitors. TPM shares the love of Christ in Mexico thanks to the favor of the Lord and the generous, prayer and financial help of our supporters.

For to this end we toil and strive,] because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. Command and teach these things. 1 Timothy 4:10-11 (ESV)

Construction Progress in Purisima and New Church Roof in Pesqueria

True Path Ministry Inc. is involved in building a new church building in Purisima, NL, Mexico. This church building will replace an event tent, which is being temporarily used as the church building. In another project, TPM funded a sheet metal roof for a small church near Monterrey. The church roof was recently destroyed by a storm.

Iglesia Dios esta Aqui, is in the small, remote, mountain village Purisima. Within the last few months, the temporary event tent was badly damaged by an intense windstorm. Pastor Rebecca and church members patched the tent back together but look forward to the Lord providing a new, solid, building. Construction on the new building was announced on May 26th (see Church Building Begins in Purisima).

The first phase of the project is nearing completion and includes footings, a retaining wall and foundation fill dirt. The work has established a solid and level foundation making a way for the walls to be added next. Church members, of all ages, are excited to see the building progress and often join in the construction work.

The La Iglesia Torre Fuerte 2 church located in Pesqueria, a small village near Monterrey, lost its roof during a windstorm. Pastor Corpus, wife Deyanira and church members continued to meet in the damaged structure. They trusted the Lord would provide the means to make the repairs. TPM was happy to be able to help the church make renovations.

There is still work needed at both locations. In Pesqueria, the building needs additional wall repairs, stucco and paint.

In Purisima construction will continue for several months. There is adequate funding to build the walls, but we are trusting that God will provide additional resources so that we can add a roof, doors, windows and all the other items that it will take to complete the project.

God works through the financial and prayer supporters of TPM to fund these construction projects in addition to the other ongoing needs of the ministry. We at TPM are grateful for this support – we could not do it without you! Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began (2 Timothy 1:9).
